Best in the Park

It has been awhile since I last posted about Best but by all accounts he is doing well in his new home. Right now he is visiting Acadia National Park while his owner takes part in the American Driving Society's annual meeting.   We're so pleased that Best has found a home where he can continue to grow and thrive.

  1. Best was terrific in Acadia. It was the ADS 40th anniversary so there were lots of carriages on the roads! We drove for 6 days and covered over 50 miles on the carriage roads. The roads go up into the mountains and provide fabulous views of the ocean below... the huge ships look like tiny boats from there. He trotted a good bit of every drive and pulled the hills very well. The last day I could tell he was getting tired, but he didn't quit. Shortest drive ( 1st day) was 9 mile and the longest was 17 miles up into the mountain around Bubble Pond. Best prefers to be out of a stall but he behaved well and we kept him occupied with lots of hay. Best has a forever home with us and I would love to find his clone to have a pair! ;-) I'll try to post more of Best photos to show his other adventures!
